Elves

ok elves are known hippies and honestly pretty lame. making them less lame is going to be a challenge.

in the jungles surrounding Rash'el live several tribes of primitive elves. these elves are fiercely territorial, attacking any who breach there lands. travel through the jungle is extremely dangerous and only the bravest or most foolish travel to or from Rash'el without a heavily armed escort.

these elves tattoo their tan skin with strange geometric designs and even pierce their ears, which is extremely painful as they dont possess lobes like humans.

they dont worship the common deities, instead they pray to the spirits of the jungle and their ancestors for guidance. the leaders of the tribes tend to be druids or shamans.

technologically they are extremely primitive, possessing only stone or bone weaponry. they view the more advanced people of Rash'el as demons or being possessed by evil spirits, carving out their city in the mountaintop. this in the eyes of the elves has killed the mountain spirit and for this reason the elves have declared war on the citizens of Rash'el.

Someone in Rash'el probably writes dirty dime novels about erotic adventures with the elven savages!

Arctic Elves: alien, strange and beautiful they live at the northern ice cap and have few dealings with the outside world. They have a distain for the natural world and often travel with teleportation magic the few times they go into the rest of the world. They are known to prefer flight to fight and ice based evocations when forced to fight.

They have no real enemies as no one else can survive their harsh environment.

They have no love for jungle elves.

With the Two Polar opposite Arctic and Jungle Elves, how about City Elves?.
Elves that have become detached from their ancestors and have grown up in between the clashing of Elven and Human cultures.
Most are forced into Ghetto's and Slums because of the negative stigma surrounding them after many failed campaigns against the Jungle Elf Tribes.
Many flee persecution and discrimination to join the Jungle, Arctic or Forest Elves who wage a Guerilla War against the Humans.
I justed wanted to bring up this idea as these Elves won't be Hippies, more a discriminated minority seeking to escape or battle the persecution they face.
'Squirrel Elves' being the name of the Elven Resistance forces, named that by humans for their use of trees as high firing points and their ability to disappear into the undergrowth as fast as they appeared.

The kingdoms of Anor have been fleshed out enough that the elf slaves would drastically alter it. But one of the other continents might work.

Possibly Elven tribes that had been part of conquered lands, put onto reservations then eventually indoctrinated into the lower classes?

I could set the basis of a expansionist human kingdom or empire for them to hail from and to oppose.

Yeah.. all of the human civilizations on the currently mapped continent are basically colonies. They arent native to that continent,

The southern continents are mostly deserts but largely use slaves.

And the largest northern continent is completely empty.

I'm not to familiar with the World map yet so you'd know where best to place them.
